Gather together, anywhere in the world
a helping hand
If you’re feeling unsure about how to plan a funeral or what your loved one’s wishes were, don’t worry – we are here to lend a helping hand. You’ll find us helpful, friendly, approachable, and highly experienced in all kinds of funerals. We’ll ask the right questions about the deceased and their family, guiding you wherever you may need it.
traditional funerals
A traditional funeral would typically be a service in a church, cemetery, or crematorium chapel followed by either a burial or cremation with the body and coffin being transported by hearse.
It tends to follow this structure:
- a viewing period during which the family can visit the person who has died in the funeral home.
- a funeral service held in a place of worship, crematorium, funeral home private chapel, or at the graveside. This includes any further ceremonies (dependent on religion).
- following the service, burial or cremation will take place. In the case of burial, friends and family may go in procession to the cemetery. Hire of a hearse and limousine(s) to follow in procession is usually included in a traditional funeral.
- a wake or reception held after the funeral, usually with food and drink, where mourners can remember the person who has died in a more relaxed setting.
celebrations of life
A celebration of life is often more upbeat and less formal than a traditional funeral, with the focus on celebration rather than mourning. In our experience of conducting celebrations of life and funerals, we’ve seen all kinds of ways to honour someone’s life, from a procession of motorbikes and the releasing of doves to movie themes and musicals. It could be a grander affair or simply choosing a celebratory form of transport from our fleet. Nothing is too creative, unique, or opulent, and we are honoured to take responsibility for helping you celebrate your loved one’s life.
Some ideas include:
- planting a memorial tree
- dedicating a star
- blowing bubbles to say farewell
- a printed cardboard coffin that reflects the personality
- butterfly release
- a theme such as viking or the movies
- hosting a campfire gathering
- creating a quote board
- celebrating with live music
- an evening of karaoke or singing
simple funerals
A simple funeral is a more affordable, no-frills approach to a traditional funeral. While traditional funerals include a lot of the standard services you might expect, simple funerals leave out the less essential services and give you the most important ones in a lower-cost format.
eco-friendly funerals
An eco-friendly or green funeral usually involves a biodegradable coffin such as wicker and cardboard, and burial in a natural setting or on private land. The ceremony might be led by a minister, celebrant or friend followed by the burial.
gather together, anywhere in the world
We know how difficult it can be for friends and family when they’re unable to pay their respects to a loved one in person. Our onsite private chapel is fitted with video streaming, giving you the option to hold a service that guests can attend from anywhere in the world. This two-way technology allows guests to watch the proceedings live, as well as be seen and heard in the chapel. Services can include a viewing of the body, private prayer, closing the coffin or casket for the last time, or any ideas you might like to suggest.
